Wintershine is an innovative sustainable energy company incorporated in Singapore. We seek a unique solution to cultivate offshore marine micro-algae to produce protein meal and biofuel competitively at industrial scale.

Cultivating and harvesting of micro-algae allows us to extract oil, proteins and carbohydrates from the algae cells.

Micro-algae show the highest growth rates of all vegetable plants yielding a significant amount of oil (30%) and proteins (50%). Algae require sunlight, CO2 and organic nitrogen (ammonia) as main inputs. Our process captures natural CO2 from deep ocean waters, in combination with an OTEC enhanced artificial upwelling.
